Andres Stamile – New President – Calgary Padel Club

We are pleased and excited to announce that the Calgary Padel Club members have elected Andres Stamile as their new President.

Andres has had a remarkable padel career, here are some of his accomplishments:

  • Played Padel since he was 2 years old, and is the youngest player in Padel history. at 14 years and 8 months. to have represented his country in a World Team Padel Championship.
  • Represented Canada in 8 World Championship events, 3 Junior and 5 Team, the most by any other Canadian player.
  • Canada’s most accomplished record as a player/coach.  He led the 2009 junior boys team to a third place finish in the World Championships in Seville, Spain. This was the best result ever for Canada.  Played a major role training the ladies team and taking them to a 5th place finish in the 2008 World Padel Championships in Calgary.
  • He holds a certified Padel Instructor certificate from the world’s top Padel Instructor, Jorge Nicolini.
  • He planned and conducted several Padel programs for juniors and beginners.  He also teaches coaches and trains players of all skill levels, from beginner to elite.
  • Was contracted to work and assist India and Australia in their early stage development and promotion of the sport of Padel.

Today, Andres is only 26 years old, and his new appointment as President will provide our members additional guidance and instruction to our members.

We thank Gabor iLLes, our departing President, for his hard work in bringing the Calgary Padel Club to life, bringing new players to the game, and providing a positive environment to develop the game of Padel in Calgary.
